Fire crew praised after factory blaze

An investigation is underway after a fire at the Rock Oil factory in Warrington, UK.

Following an emergency call on Tuesday morning, fire crews attended the scene and cooled the affected equipment.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots in a container holding lubricant.

There were no injuries. However, there was significant damage to plant equipment.

A spokesperson from the Rock Oil factory said: “Thanks to the professionalism of the highly trained staff, who contained the outbreak, and the rapid and skilled response from the emergency fire service, a major catastrophe was avoided. Directors and staff would like to take this opportunity to thank the fire service for their rapid and professional response.”
